Meet Nala! Katherine’s sweet, smart, loveable buddy! Living with our family, Nala practices all her household manners that make her such a joy to live with. 

We understand that some people are just wanting a dog with that next level of training that gives them extra house/life experience and makes them pros at doing their commands wherever they are. 

Due to the time required, we’re only able to do this on a very limited basis with a select number of pups each year. Katherine selects these puppy prospects who show potential to excel in more rigorous training. 

A little about Nala: 

Oh my goodness, this face! Nala is a little package of cuteness to the max and has superb conformation. A lovely square body, saber tail, and beautiful face with the most friendly brown eyes. Her coat is a buttery caramel color in a gorgeous soft fleece. Looking at her, it’s impossible not to scoop her up! We expect her to mature to 35-40lbs; the perfect cuddling size! She is an absolute dream dog and has the most loveable personality. She’s easy going, and intelligent, quickly learning new things. Throw her a ball and she loves to chase it! (Not so much picking it up though! Ha ha!) She has a toy unstuffed duck that she likes carrying around and playing with. She enjoys being active outside and is one of the best followers when we go on side by side runs. Sniffing and exploring but never going too far and always being aware of where I am. Sweet and gentle, yet a nice amount of stability and confidence to approach something new or not let a bad experience deter her from trying again. She enjoys laying close by while I cook in the kitchen and just hanging out with the family! Nala has a medium/low energy level and her friendliness makes her such a sweetheart who’s easy to bring anywhere. Her temperament and training make her an absolute phenomenal companion! 

Nala starts her day out on a walk with Miles, greeting any employees who pull in or other dogs who are out on their morning walks. Then she goes back into her kennel and waits patiently for the kids to wake up and get ready to go on her morning run with the side by side. Meeting a dog’s need for exercise and mental stimulation is a key part of our training to have a pup feel fulfilled and ready to learn with a calm mind and demeanor. Olive joins in for a run as well and we explore all the farm scents in the flower field and trails through the woods. Back at the house, Anna loves fixing breakfast for her and Nala politely waits in the crate while Anna clips in her food dishes. During the day she has several training sessions in addition to the organic training moments that happen throughout our daily routine. She works with all members of our family to practice performing her commands for different people. Smart, loyal and so eager to please, Nala is incredibly fun to train and work with! She does very well with all her commands; sit, down, stay, place, kennel, wait, and leash walking. Some days include a field trip with Miles where she’s able to show off what she knows! Living with our family, she’s exposed to our busy household of children, and visitors; greeting even the smallest of guests with a gentleness beyond her years. She enjoys following the kids out to the playground and having a good romp in the field with them, or watching our family play a game of basketball outside in the evening. She takes her walks outside both on and off leash to give her practice with the “come” command and also leash manners. She happily runs from wherever she is when she hears “Nala, come!”. Jane and Anna (10 and 8yrs old) take her out for her bedtime walk and then get her comfy in her kennel for the night.
